The History Channel's "Tactical to Practical" examines how military technology makes its way from the battlefield to the streets of suburbia. Navy SEALs take Hunter Ellis aboard the latest SDV (SEAL Delivery Vehicle), and he learns that much of their equipment is now available to civilian divers, including the latest in dive computers, dry suits, rebreathers, and underwater cameras. Hunter explores a shipwreck using the scuba phone--first developed by the Navy. Next, he sees how military food innovations changed the way we eat and live. Then, he tracks the crossover of robots from military to civilian use.
